Introducing the new help app!

The SafeNow call for help app is a joint research project of the German Federal Police and DB Station&Service and will be tested in Hamburg Central Station and the Wandelhalle from October 26, 2023 to the end of December 2024. This involves the offer of an app freely available in the app stores to send a silent call for help. The call for help is immediately received by the security forces of DB Security, the Federal Police and/or the Wandelhalle security who are on site and who then immediately go to the exact location of the incident.

The help call app, for example, is then intended to provide easily accessible help for anyone who feels uncomfortable, unsafe or threatened at the main station. It is important to note that the help call app does not replace the emergency call (110/112) and should not be used for medical emergencies!
